Maggie Smith is an actor, playwright, and comedian based in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Maggie graduated Loyola University Chicago, where she received a BA in Theatre, while minoring in English and Shakespeare Studies. While at Loyola, Maggie led two projects and performed in multiple faculty-directed plays and student-led projects, while also performing weekly with Latchkey Kid Improv Team for four years.

 

Upon graduating Loyola, she was accepted into the Second City’s Conservatory Training Program, where she completed her training in September, 2023. Since then, she received the 2024 Joining Sword & Pen Award for her new play "Calvaria," which she will continue to develop throughout this next year with Chicago's Babes With Blades Theatre Company. But for now, she's happy to be in Omaha with her family (and hopefully their new dog).
